The Dolphins avenged an early season loss to Jay on Monday night with a 3-0 win over the Royals at Gulf Breeze.

 

Jay's Nick Simpson held Gulf Breeze at bay until the bottom of the fourth inning, when Gulf Breeze posted 3 runs and held on to win the game by the same score.

 

Mark Waghalter had a tremendous night on the mound for Gulf Breeze, giving up just one hit while striking out 8 and walking one in his complete-game, seven-inning shutout.

 

Jay's Simpson finished having given up 5hits, 3 runs and 3 walks on the evening.

 

Gulf Breeze will now shift focus to Christian County Kentucky on April 7th before getting back to district play on April 8th.

 

On the flip side, the Royals will look to rebound on April first as they put their undefeated district record on the line against Pensacola Christian.
