Central bounced back from a tough district loss to Paxton on Thursday night as as they slid past East Hill for the second time this season, 9-6 on the road.
TJ King led the way for the Jags, posting a three-run homer in the first inning, giving the Jags an early 5-3 lead heading into the third inning. In the top half of the third, King did it again, going deep with a two-run shot as the Jags took a lead they wouldn't relinquish as they rolled to their fifth 1-A win of the season.
Chad McDaniel got the win on the mound for Central, giving up 3 earned runs off of 6 hits while walking 5 and striking out 10 in his complete-game, seven-inning performance.
The Jags will now shift focus to Pensacola Christian on Thursday night (3/27) as they take on the Warriors for the third time this season. Central won both games back in a 3/18 double-header.
