Following a tough loss to Baker the night before, the Royals bounced back on Friday night with a big 61-45 district win over Vernon.

 

Jay jumped out to a big 19-4 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, cruising to the 16-point 1-2A win.

 

Greg Nelson had another tremendous night for the Royal Blue as he finished with a game high 27-points and 8 rebounds, while teammate Devin Castleberry ended the night with 8 points and 10 rebounds.

 

Next on the Royal's agenda will be on Monday and Tuesday night as they are set to host the annual Jay Christmas Tournament. Jay will be looking to avenge last season's tough loss to Central in the Tournament Finals.
