Following Gulf Breeze's opening win over Crestview in the first round of the Playground Area Shootout on Wednesday night, the Dolphins dropped their final two to Seigel and Choctaw.

Siegel, out of Nashville TN, rolled past Gulf Breeze 79-52 before going on to play for the coveted Championship game. Siegel came out of the box fast, but the Dolphin defense got them back in the game pulling to within 2 late in the second quarter. But a late surge just before the half put the game farther out of reach as they rolled to the win.

Cold shooting from the floor doomed the Dolphins in the 5th place game against Choctaw as they managed just 10-23 from the free throw stripe and just 28% from the floor which erased a tremendous defensive output with 18 steals as a team on the evening. Garrett Carr led the team in scoring with 8 while Hibberts and Mims lead the defensive effort, each with 5 steals as the Indians came away with the 51-38 win.
