Central went head to head with the defending district champion Laurel Hill Hoboes in Allentown on Tuesday night in what looked to be an early preview of the District 1-A Championship.
...and it was a barn-burner.
Laurel Hill's Jeff Reese scored 14 of his 25 points in the final stanza, leading the Hoboes past Central 62-59, handing the Jags their first district loss of the season.
Central was up by 10 with four minutes remaining before Reese went on his rampage and took away the 1-4A win.
Troy Dawson had a tremendous game for the Jags, finishing with 25 on the night, while Logan Campbell put up 18 in the tough loss.
The Jags will look to bounce back on Friday night as they host Rocky Bayou in another all important 1-A matchup.
